Trying to photograph Q now is becoming a task. First he loves pushing buttons on the camera second when I’m trying to take pictures. He wont stay still and rush’s me to push those buttons, thus the image below.
Q update’s:
Knows all letters and numbers ( just not saying them all yet) as well as sounding a majority of them out.
Knows some colors and many items that seems to grow every day.
Can’t stand if you try and sing ABC’s to him in reverse or random order. If it’s from a book you have to point to each letter as you sing it. If you don’t he grabs your finger to do it.
Has this new smarty pants laugh now.
Just last night got up and down from the couch by himself. He was motivated there was a bag of letter block things.

We had a surprise birthday for my dad a week ago. Fooling my dad isn’t a easy task, but we had him fooled all the way up to the door. He wasn’t too happy with the fake proceedings we had to conjure up so he was complaining the whole time, even still hoot and hollering right up to the the surprise which made it that much sweeter. This was a blow to his psyche as after the surprise he had to stand in the backyard for a minute to collect himself with embarrassment. I believe if I’m not mistaken by consulting the surprise birthday manual that he has forfeited all birthday privileges to my mom when she has hers next month.

Been talking to Brian Hill of the Oral Cancer Foundation to attempt combining what ever art skills I have and my cancer experience into telling others stories. In other words to raise awareness of oral cancer in a more photographic/video manner, sort of. It’s all very fuzzy and organic right now as we spit ideas into the bucket of awesomeness.
Also been thinking of making a simple book for myself of my three main cancer posts. Like my Blurb test book I did of Quentin sometime ago. I still have to go ahead and order his YEAR ONE book I did which I might pull the trigger on tonight, it’s nearly 100 pages of Q. I’m sure when he gets older he will be like ” You all are obsessed with me get over it”.

So it was late last night and Q was in bed for a good hour. Although he wasn’t sleeping I could hear him on the monitor in there playing and talking to himself. So Courtney gets him up and he runs into the bedroom where I’m watching Blues Brothers. He gets in the bed and sits there beside me laughing at the car chase scene at the end, he likes cars. After that he rolls over on me throws his head on my chest resting his head on his arms and proceeds to let loose a long string of sentences that I couldn’t make sense of. He was saying a ton of stuff just out of the blue expressing it with his hands and making all kinds of facial gestures to go along. He had something important to tell , I just couldn’t’ understand it, but it stunned me to say the least. It was like ” He just grew 5 years in one minute ” moment. I wish I could capture that on video. I’m going to have to start trying like, on Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, when they make a camera nest out of a bush to sneak up on the lions.
Ok I’m starting to gain a little more confidence in editing video on a PC. This latest test isn’t perfect or anything but the fact it went off with no problems is damn milestone to say the least. Although this is a shitty render I just can’t believe premier actually didn’t hick up considering it’s length of time.
This morning Q got up I think at 5:30 bouncing off walls, running and jabbering like a crazed chicken on crack. The previous 4 days he was sleeping for 12 hours at a time and eating tons of food, thus he has leveled. In one day it seems he has grown a few inches. This might actually be the case but it does seem like something happened over night.
Oh and he knows doors now.
